Hi I'm Mark Sidway, and I really, really love pools. I take it you do, too. Growing up, I got tired of seeing the same old swimming pools in everybody's backyard. There were rectangles and ovals, and that's about it.
Now, that might be all you need to cool off on a hot day, but it sure doesn't look great sitting in your yard, does it? That's exactly what I thought. Pools are such a huge investment and they dominate the landscape of your house. They have to look good—an ugly pool in your backyard paints the same ugly picture as a junky car sitting on cinder blocks in your front yard.
And that's why I started California Poolside.
For the past 15 years, I've worked hard to assemble to most passionate pool people I could find. We're an elite squad of thinkers and doers and we love pools, period. California Poolside aims to destroy the common problems plaguing most pool contractors—high costs, sub-par craftsmanship, boring design and a lack of people skills. Our customers love working with us, and it's no surprise why—we bring dreams to life. One woman even called us the “Fairy Godmother of Pools.”

The bottom line is that we want to build something that we can both be proud of. We work surprisingly fast, but different projects will take different amounts of time depending on its size and scope.
That said, we've completed projects in as little as a few weeks. After we come up with our the final design we always map out the construction process, which will give you a very solid idea on the time frame we're working with.
